It has been a few weeks now since we attended the Harrow Planning Committee meeting to present the petition and give our reasons for opposing this unwelcome development.

I was encouraged by the support shown by several Councillors alongside assurances that no commitment had been made to the HGHT (Brethren) to lift the Covenant to allow residential use of the land.  

However, the question was asked, why would money have been spent unwisely employing expensive consultants if it was made clear to the Brethren, at the start of the application, that the Covenant would remain in place? 

We are waiting for a decision to be made on the application and will be keeping our eye on future Planning Meeting Agendas.
