Due to my circumstances, I cannot spend more time on this petition. And, I feel very comfortable letting it go because some very capable people are spending their whole lives on freeing Alberta.

The project is collecting Albertans who are willing to sign for a referendum, so that when it’s time to move on it, there will be enough signatures in the 90 day window for the referendum to qualify. 

I believe their group is doing the best work possible for Alberta in this direction.

Albertans deserve a choice.

Should the federal or provincial government get to decide whether Alberta stays a part of Canada, or becomes the 51st state of America? 
Or should the citizens of Alberta be the ones who make that decision?

Whether you support unity with Canada or unity with America, sign this petition calling for a referendum: so that Alberta’s citizens can each vote for their own stance.

For too long, we’ve been shackled by a country that takes more than it gives. 

In 2015 alone, Alberta sent $27 billion more to Ottawa than we got back - billions in equalization payments we never voted for. That number climbs every year, to prop up other provinces while our industries suffocate.
We’re underrepresented, with fewer seats than Ontario and Quebec, our voices drowned out in a system rigged against us.

Enough is enough. 

We’re not just Canada’s cash cow - we’re a powerhouse. We have the world’s third-largest oil reserves, outstanding work ethic, and our values better align with our southern neighbors than they do our western. 

Why shouldn’t Alberta decide our own future? 
Why are we at the mercy of bureaucrats and monarchy?

We didn’t get a voice with the Carbon Tax.
We didn’t get a voice with the medical overstep thousands of Canadians put their lives and livelihoods on the line to fight against.
We didn’t get a voice on who leads now that Trudeau has stepped down.
We didn’t get a voice when bill after bill was passed to censor Canadians.

Every citizen of Alberta should have the opportunity to have their voice heard.
