A new qualification system: 26 groups, 211 teams, equal chances:

Como entusiasta del fútbol, creo firmemente que el Mundial FIFA es una plataforma única para celebrar la diversidad cultural y la unidad entre las naciones. Sin embargo, el actual sistema de clasificación presenta obstáculos desiguales que limitan la participación inclusiva de las 211 selecciones nacionales que desean competir en el mayor escenario futbolístico del mundo.

Por ello, propongo un cambio significativo en el sistema de clasificación para el Mundial FIFA 2030, que lo haga más interesante y accesible para todos los países. Con la idea de que sean 64 selecciones participando y teniendo en cuenta que los anfitriones tendrán su plaza asegurada (6), lo que resulta en 58 cupos disponibles, propongo dividir las 205 federaciones restantes en 29 grupos clasificatorios. Los grupos definidos por el ranking FIFA para hacer un reparto mas equilibrado, con un 7 bombos conteniendos las selecciones del 1 al 29 del ranking, del 30 al 59 y así sucesivamente.

Estos grupos se disputarían en un formato todos contra todos, con partidos de ida y vuelta, asegurando así que cada selección tenga la oportunidad de jugar en igualdad de condiciones. El sistema permitiría que el primer lugar de cada grupo clasifique directamente al Mundial, mientras que los segundos y terceros lugares se enfrentarían en una repesca por los cupos restantes.

Esta propuesta no solo democratiza el acceso al torneo más prestigioso del mundo del fútbol, sino que también respalda los valores de igualdad de oportunidades y respeto mutuo. Al implementar este cambio, el Mundial FIFA fortalecería su reputación como un evento verdaderamente global que promueve la unidad y el entendimiento cultural.
