Dear supporters, I am happy to update you that finally after 2.5 years, the central board FIBA made a positive decision to make changes to their current rule on head gear. As stated, "After initiating a revision process of the headgear rule (Article 4.4.2) of the Official Basketball Rules in September 2014, the Board received a report on the impact of the exceptions applied on a domestic level during a two-year period. It favoured a modification of the rule and issued a mandate for the Technical Commission to come forward with a proposal that would allow headgear to be worn safely by athletes. This will be presented to the Mid-Term Congress in May." I can finally say it ya'll, @#fibaALLOWEDhijab, in sha Allah (God-willingly). Come May 2017, all head gear will be allowed and approved on all levels. To each one of you signees and supporters, thank you. Without you we could not have done this. Our movement is your movement, and we are forever grateful for the wave you created with us! I and the rest of the players will keep our movement going until it is officially approved by FIBA in May....so keep sharing our movement so we can get even more signatures! :) Cheers to more positive change in our lives. Peace, Indira
