Petition to Extend FEMA Funeral Assistance to All Families for All Deaths

 We, the undersigned, demand that the United States government immediately expand the FEMA COVID-19 Funeral Assistance program to provide $9,000 to every family for every death, regardless of cause, from this day forward.

This urgent action is necessary to address the profound harm caused by government inaction and complicity in allowing agencies like the FDA, CDC, and others to permit the poisoning of our water, soil, air, beasts of the field, and birds of the air through negligence, corporate influence, and failed oversight.

For too long, families have borne the financial and emotional burden of death without adequate support, while government policies have enabled environmental and systemic harms that contribute to loss of life.

The current FEMA program, limited to COVID-19-related deaths, excludes countless families grieving losses from other causes, many of which stem from the same systemic failures—contaminated resources, unsafe medical interventions, and unchecked corporate greed.

The seven petitions for death rites at LetsBeTrees.org have already called for justice, transparency, and sacred respect for those who have passed; we echo their demands and insist on universal funeral assistance as a step toward accountability.

We assert that:
