Recently I was double charged by Paypal for the same transaction. What I thought would be an easy fix to a mistake, I soon realized would be a drug out process of being ignored or being told they would look into it. Two weeks in, numerous phone calls, emails and even a BBB complaint are still being ignored. Now normally I would just continue to try and resolve the issue but getting on the company's Facebook page I noticed the same thing happening to multiple people daily and getting the same responses. "we will look into it" and "private message us" which they continue to ignore from the different person's responses to their comments. Not only taking people's money, but letting scam artists steal their money or information and siding with the scam artists, putting holds on funds without having a valid reason or being able to offer a valid reason, and running customer's credit without the knowledge or consent of the person to start a credit line with their credit card that the customer did not want in the first place. With this petition, I would like to urge the Federal Trade Commission to investigate Paypal's business practices. Something needs to be done to protect people from business practices like this.
