Last week, the Tasmanian Government recognised that many temporary visa holders, including refugees and people seeking asylum, cannot simply go home. Instead, they are in limbo. Many are at serious risk of desistitution and homelessness without a safety net. Tasmania has unveiled a $3 million dollar package to support temporary visa holders during the pandemic.
