We are almost at the 100 mark!
I have drafted a letter, and made it available. I was also able to track down the Division Chief Krissy Carlson's email address, so, we will be getting that issued out here at the 100 supporters mark!
I have seen a comment, only one, stating this is a misinterpretation of the announcement.
This isn't just about the fact that this reclassification may hurt the market one day, or if it even does impact the ammunition market, it's the fact that this WILL impact reloaders, or anyone who will be using raw powders AT THE VERY LEAST. As of right now, it's on an "INTERIM" basis for the AMMUNITION FACTORIES, and this has already been a big thorn in the DOD's side.
Beyond all of that, beyond the immediate impact of this action, the ATF is NOT AN ELECTED OFFICIAL. This is about the many times they have attempted to enact, even the "small ones" like the M855 ban, without legal process. They are an ENFORCEMENT Agency, not a LAW MAKING agency. Can their findings INFLUENCE law makers? Sure. But that's where their political sway and law "making" should stop.
It might only be 12.6% Wetted Nitrocellulose now, but what about if this was passed without contest, what next will they try to push through?
Most importantly, thank you all for your continued support. If you have any input on the letter, please do reach out through comments and express that. Start liking comments, the top 5 comments at 100 supporters will be attached into the letter.
Thanks!
