The Issue
My family’s story is one of many. My daughters, granddaughters, sister, nieces, aunts, mother, and grandmothers — along with millions of women nationwide — have faced a glaring inequity in our healthcare system regarding hormone treatment.
The FDA has approved testosterone treatments for men, ensuring their health concerns are addressed. Yet, when women face the same hormone deficiency, we are systematically denied coverage for testosterone. This is not a minor oversight — it is sex discrimination in healthcare that impacts women’s health and quality of life across the nation.
Low testosterone in women can lead to fatigue, mood changes, cognitive issues, and more. Nearly 40% of women over 45 experience symptoms of low testosterone, but the FDA and insurers have not adjusted policies to meet these real and urgent health needs.
This petition calls for fairness and equity in healthcare. Women deserve access to the same life-changing treatments men receive.
By signing and sharing, you’re helping dismantle systemic discrimination in healthcare and standing up for the rights of women everywhere.
