I think my talk went well at the Environmental Action Committee meeting tonight. The developer Seth was his usual self. There were six people from the neighborhood there to support me. But the committee still voted to recommend the rezoning.

It seems like one thing after another goes against us. But with many of us at the City Council meeting tomorrow night speaking against the rezoning, we could still win with a miracle!!

We want the City Council to honor the City's promise to us ten years ago to maintain the current PZD which allows for no development or additional commercial use in the east 72 acres of Markham Hill.

Let Specialized REG prove themselves as conservation developers in the current 72 acre RSF-4 on the west side of Markham Hill. Like putting many acres in a conservation easement like Seth is saying he will do if Markham Hill is rezoned. He is getting points for this. Like a bribe.

Yes, let's gather and protect Markham Hill and our neighborhood!!! See you tomorrow Sept 18 at 5:30pm at City Hall.

I'm still praying that Markham Hill will somehow end up a 144-acre conservation easement and a nature and wildlife preserve. If you are a praying person, please join me.
