We have a busy and important week.

Monday Sept 17 at 5:30pm at the Environmental Action Committee meeting at City Hall the developer will speak for 15 minutes on his development plans and then I will speak for 15 minutes on why Markham Hill should not be rezoned and should be preserved. Please come if you can.

Tuesday Sept 18 at 5:30pm at City Hall the City Council will have their first meeting to discuss the fate of Markham Hill. We are last on the agenda because they expect many from the public to comment after the developer does his presentation. Please come and speak if you can. Just getting up and saying you oppose the rezoning is fine. But if you are able, please give your reasons why. We need the room packed. You are important and needed in this fight to save Markham Hill from development and make it a nature and wildlife preserve. We're not giving up! It is a worthwhile cause! Not only are we protecting Markham Hill, we are also protecting the environment, air, water, health, well-being, and safety of the people in Wards 1, 2, and 4 who live or work in the areas of Fayetteville surrounding Markham Hill.
