Im a senior at Fayette County High School and I am DEMANDING that our school board require masks for EVERYONE IN ANY SCHOOL BUILDING IN OUR COUNTY. Im not going to sugar coat this, students are dropping like flies. There is no reason that a board full of educated people should be pretending that it is safe for students not to wear a mask at school. THIS PANDEMIC IS NOT OVER. The system FCBOE has implemented is utter chaos, with new cases popping up every week and no semblance of a vaccine verification system our schools have become a cesspool of disease. This system is broken and wrong. Havent we as a community lost enough? Why put the lives of our students and their families at risk in the name of "freedom". Do we not also deserve freedom? Freedom to get an education without having to worry about contracting a deadly virus? The school system claims to care about student safety yet allows things like this to happen. You claim to represent us? Then act like it. FCBOE is treating this deadly disease like it's the flu.

How many students will have to suffer loss before you realize that something needs to change.
