Destruction of EU Structural and other Funds

The value of the EU Structural and other Funds as invested in the Tourist Train Project were reduced to zero value further to the "switch" of the operating pick up/set down position from that of the planned central contract requirement to that of unwanted remote back street positions that were offered which were devoid of the trains targeted customers.

We were advised that this "switch" occurred further to the rising of a favoritism issue that seen to it that Cork City Council Administrators, some Cork City Councillors and the Open Top Bus Operator aligned an effort that cemented into place an unfair Operational Licence for the benefit of the Hop On Hop Off Cork City Tour. Corporate and External Affairs advised thereafter that the value in the Tourist Train Project had been reduced to that reflective of a figure of zero.

Thus I am seeking that pressure be maintained on the grouping to rectify and dismantle the unfair trading conditions that are in existence thus preventing the front office staff at the Cork City Partnership from activating my Back to Work Scheme arrangement. The Council should among other things give consideration to implementing a "reverse or correcting switch" in favor of the contract that could go some way to reinstating the value in the project.
