Fathers Unite to End Violence Against All Daughters

The Issue

Several women close to me have suffered abuse, and I have met many others who endure similar pain every day. Even in my own family, I have witnessed very close relatives who experienced violations by men and have carried ongoing challenges because of it. Watching the impact of violence on their bodies, minds, and spirits has left an indelible mark on me. It is not something you forget. It is not something you can ignore. Their pain has become my personal mandate to speak out, to act, and to call other men to do the same.

At the heart of this movement is a simple but powerful truth: every daughter deserves dignity, safety, and freedom from fear. Fathers of daughters are at the forefront of this work. When men step forward as protectors and advocates, they not only change the lives of their own daughters, but they help create a culture where all daughters are valued, respected, and safe. Fathers can make a tremendous difference in leading this charge and inspiring other men to do the same.

Violence against women is not just a women’s issue; it is a human issue that demands the involvement of everyone. According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 3 women globally experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime, most often at the hands of an intimate partner. This crisis cuts across every boundary of culture, class, income, and age.

To end this, we must go beyond laws and institutions. We must call on every father and every man to take responsibility. Governments and communities have their role — to strengthen laws, expand prevention programs, and provide support for survivors. But lasting change begins with men in their homes, schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods — choosing to speak up, intervene, and model respect in everyday life.

I implore men of all ages and backgrounds to become allies and champions in this fight.

By signing this petition, I pledge to stand for the dignity of all daughters. I commit to using my voice, influence, and actions to ensure women and girls are safe, valued, and free from violence. Together, we can create a world where every daughter lives with dignity and without fear.
