For many of us, this isn’t just about a policy—it’s about our lives, our families, our futures. We’ve planned everything—careers, homes, children’s education—around a timeline that was promised to us.

Any attempt to change this now feels like the rug is being pulled from under our feet. It’s not just emotionally and mentally draining—it’s financially destabilizing too. We’ve upheld our end of the agreement with integrity and trust; we now ask that the system honors its part.

Most of us are in similar boats, and our voices are stronger when raised together. We urge everyone to keep pushing the petition forward. If you’ve already signed, please take a moment to ensure your spouses, partners, adult children, and other family members do too. Every signature strengthens our stand.
