💙 PETITION UPDATE – LOOK HOW FAR WE’VE COME! 💙

When we started this petition, we knew transport was a real issue for students from our region who are offered places in Talented Sports Programs. We hoped that by speaking up, we could get the right people to listen.

We have now reached 400 signatures, and so much has happened behind the scenes since we started. 🙌

We have had the support of Judy Hannan and Nathan Hagarty MP, who have both advocated to the Minister for Transport and the Minister for Education, bringing these concerns forward and pushing for these issues to be raised in Parliament.

Clayton Reedie, President of the NSW Secondary Principals’ Council, is also reviewing the concerns and preparing recommendations to submit to NSW Transport.

Our local Principal at The Oaks is on board and supporting the need for better transport options for students in our area.

The Principal of Eagle Vale Sports High School is also doing everything he can to advocate for better transport from our region and understands the difficulties families are facing.

We have also raised the issue directly with Transport for NSW, with our concerns being passed through to Network Planning.

This has now grown well beyond one family asking for help. ❤️

There are students across Camden and Wollondilly who are being offered incredible opportunities because of their talent, dedication and hard work — but for some families, the lack of suitable transport makes these opportunities extremely difficult to access.

We now have MPs, principals and education representatives advocating alongside us.

But we still need help. 🙏

We need to show NSW Transport and the Government just how many families believe this is an important issue.
