We URGENTLY need your Voices! Read below why this petition is even more important ✍🏼 

We NEED to support ALL forms of Cancer that can spread to the Brain. To many people in Australia fight another cancer only to identify its spread to their Brain. 

🗣Let’s share this petition with ALL Cancer Communities, specifically Breast, Bone, Colon, Melanoma, Lung and Kidney Cancer Support groups and organisations. 

🗣Brain Cancer can start occurring from other forms of Cancer in the body. This is called “Brain Metastases” 

👀 Look above at Gina Raccanello, one of Professor Dr Teo’s Patients. Gina was diagnosed with Breast Cancer that metastasised to her Brain. If Gina did not eliminate it from her brain, who knows where things would have headed. Gina had multiple operations and without those Brain Surgeries would not have achieved another 10+ years. 

❌Dr Teo’s restrictions now include obtaining supervision if operating on a “Recurring Tumour”. If Gina didn’t receive intervention by Dr Teo in 2017-2020 then the restrictions could have been in place. Which means Gina wouldn’t have had a chance with Dr Teo. ❌Why take away medical advancements regarding reoccurring tumours off the table? This is a massive gap in the Public Hospital system. Let’s fill the gap! Not make it wider…….. 

🧠 Over 4 Operations with Dr Teo, Gina is still lending her Voice 10+ years later to help others! Gina included her story on the “Patient Protest Banner” for the HCCC hearing which ironically was disregarded as irrelevant to the case. Yet Gina’s story is VERY relevant. 

Also….. These Patients responded after Day 1 of the hearing. Supporters responded as the “allegations” were false as patients never experienced a lack of consent, lack off communication regarding risks and to confirm they were no way under Duress when making the decision (as the hearing attempted advise). This was definitely an attack on Dr Teo. Specifically from a certain Neurosurgeon, (who we won’t name) who actively sought out to vilify and effect someone else’s career. Why? Because…. why would other Neuros support Dr Teo when he’s removed “their” patients tumour that “they” deemed inoperable. 

🗣But Dr Teo still gets up everyday knowing there’s a BIG chance he could loose a patient today and every other day, in another Country. Maybe they won’t wake from anaesthesia? Maybe the post op care in Hospital and by Specialists could improve? Just knowing he would receive a dreaded call and have to deliver the news to the patients family. Knowing he didn’t achieve what the patient needed, Knowing he did his absolute best, Knowing he has to start all over again tomorrow……. 

🍀 Lucky for Dr Teo’s Patients his success rate and honesty allows families to process every outcome and make an informed decision. There are many MRI’s and People Dr Teo reviews that he can’t help.  Dr Teo doesn’t offer Surgery just to anyone, what he does is outlay your options! 

He does however teach you to treasure every moment. To celebrate every win Big or Small. To be. To achieve. To speak up. To fight. To never Give up. 💪

❌Why in our country today are we not working at expanding “Keyhole Brain Surgery” to allow access to Metastatic Cancers in the body? As patients we DONT UNDERSTAND 🤐

Any cancer can spread to the brain. But the most common types that spread are lung 🫁 , breast, colon, kidney and melanoma.

🧠 Brain metastases may form one or more tumors in the brain. As they grow, they put pressure on surrounding brain tissue and structures and can hinder Cerebral Spinal Fluid that cushions the brain. If the CSF gets blocked the patient becomes “life threatening” and causes what we know as “Hydrocephalus” (excess fluid on the brain) Remember Brain Cancer is the smartest of all Cancers, some types can replicate cells every 6 hours, the Brain is also the only organ protected by the “Blood Brain Barrier” therefore many conventional treatments don’t work or reach the Brain tumours. 

👊If you don’t fight to eradicate Brain Tumours, ultimately this could take your life before your primary Cancer would. Remembering Brain Cancer is the number 1 Killer in Children and Adults under 40.

🔬The Australian Government MUST INVEST MORE THAN 1% into Brain Cancer Research but to those thinking outside the box. Conventional treatment and approach is not working. 

✔️If you have been diagnosed with another form of Cancer. 🫵🏼 Please ensure your treating Dr’s and Specialist know if you experience any headaches including a feeling of pressure, vision changes including double vision, pupil responses such as one larger than the other, balance or vertigo episodes, increased nausea or vomiting, issues swallowing or eating, asymmetrical changes when smiling or in photos, or any symptom that could be from a Neurological perspective.

🗣Don’t give up! Keep that strong mindset. Research. Don’t take No for an answer and never forget to reach out! Your never alone.

🙏Thank goodness for Australians that Dr Teo still listens, provided choice, explained the outcomes and risks. We urgently need our CHOICE back regarding OUR personal medical care and what we want done with our bodies. Brain Cancer Survivors aren’t just a Medicare Claimable Number! Nor should AUSTRALIANS loose access to innovation, research, key hole brain surgery just because of a Risk Adverse Medical System, Board and Insurance Agencies. 

✔️Just imagine if they could ALL work together and combine forces. Like when Dr Chris O’Brien was still here. A renowned Neurosurgeon who got diagnosed with the worst type of Brain Cancer (GBM) and only wanted Dr Teo to operate. This says a lot!
