All Americans are protected by either an Innocence Project or a Conviction Integrity Unit EXCEPT members of the United States military.

On talk show Tell it Like it Is, expert Marissa Bluestine, Assistant Director of the Quattrone Center for the Fair Administration of Justice at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, former Army Cavalry Scout and Judge Advocate General defense attorney Cody Harnish, military falsely accused expert Arvis Owens and talk show host James Thomas discussed the implications of military conviction integrity unit.

With a possible new requirement of all men (and possibly women) aged 18-25 automatically registering for selective service, many people may have no choice but to join the military. As a former director of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, Marissa Bluestine has seen the positive impact that integrity units and innocence projects have on the fairness of justice programs. They not only help to correct injustice, but they foster more community trust that a justice system is getting better.

Current defense attorney, Cody Harnish, has been extremely effective defending military clients against false allegations. He also seeks to educate the community on military law and regulations.

This past June, Marissa spoke in front of the Defense Advisory Committee for the Investigations, Prosecutions and Defense of Sex Assault cases about conviction integrity units.

Please watch this interview and share it with friends, family, and anyone who is considering joining the military.
