Fair Trial for Former Mayor Perricone Regarding Child Custody Dispute & Other Matters
The Issue
This petition has been dictated by an appalling abuse of power stemming from a situation that has deeply scarred the life of former Mineral Wells Mayor, Mr. Perricone. Stripped of his rights as a father, despite being granted joint custody, he has not been allowed to see his children since his ex-wife unjustly absconded with them over 4 years ago. His ex-wife has committed over 500 well documented (MWPD) felony counts of child interference by withholding their children. The MWPD has been instructed to not act on the felonies because the D.A. has said she will not prosecute. Inexplicably, Judge Moore’s court has additionally demonstrated a blatant disregard for these continued felony acts.
The pain of Mr. Perricone's torment resonates with many who have witnessed the deterioration of this man, once a vibrant figure fighting for injustice against the citizens, into a mere shadow of his former self. His family has been wrecked and his career irreparably damaged — all born out of what appears to be political retaliation against his bold efforts to expose corruption within the local government during his term as Mayor.
This is a man who has lost virtually everything due to a relentless campaign of calculated revenge. His situation paints a dark & chilling picture of what can happen when political power is wielded as a weapon of personal revenge rather than as a tool for the public good. The undersigned believe that he cannot receive a fair trial in Judge Moore’s Court, given the court's repeated refusal to acknowledge the aforementioned felony acts, as well as many other questionable actions by the court in this case.
We believe this case warrants a review to ensure that a neutral and fair trial occurs to secure Mr. Perricone's rights as a father and to pursue justice for his children. We firmly assert that the crushing weight of injustice has rested too long on the shoulders of this former Mayor, and it is high time that he receives his due process.
