Nintendo has always held a special place in the hearts of gamers around the world for generations. Its unique brand of games and consoles have provided years of fun and engagement. It is with heavy hearts then, that we the gaming community regard the latest troubling news surrounding the pricing policies for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and its games and services.

Nintendo appears to be taking advantage of our nostalgia and loyalty to their brand, insisting on higher prices and offering lower quality games and services for the Switch 2. This disenchantment first started seeping into the gaming community with the release of the Nintendo Switch; they increased the prices of games back then as well. They used cheaper components in their controllers which ended up causing joystick drift and led to lawsuits that Nintendo managed to escape liability for. They've stopped selling many games at a discount long after demand for them has dwindled, forcing players who still want the game years later to pay full price for a dated product. 

Now, they plan to sell the Switch 2 at a higher price outside of Japan. Now, it seems they plan to increase the price of games every generation. Now, they're once again repackaging and rebranding dated hardware at inflated prices.  

We choose to make a stand and voice our concerns to compel Nintendo to revisit their pricing strategy for the Switch 2 its games and services.

Nintendo, many of us are lifelong fans. But even the most devoted fandom has its limits.
