Binational families have been forced to remain separate, reduce our economic capacities, as North Americans, we have been forced into self-exile so as not to be able to develop our family project (the family is a human right, it should be noted)

In many cases our partners, who are not North American, have never been able to set foot on American soil, because the immigration laws and processes are unfair and stigmatize the migrant.

Even the possibility of going to visit us for a few weeks is not possible due to the high refusal of issuance of B1 and B2 visas and the endless waiting times for migrant visas.

Currently in many embassies around the world, the appointments for non-migrant B1 and B2 visas are until 2024 and the wait for the immigration processes is incalculable, generating anxiety, anguish and endless economic losses.

The only thing left for us to think about in this situation is that we are facing clear discrimination by binational families, many times we feel like victims of xenophobia.

We kindly invite you to listen to us urgently because we need family reunification and that our economy, emotional health and family development are not affected.

There are couples of families with more than 2.5 or 20 years of marriage with unfinished or denied immigration processes, because our families are rejected from our country, that means that as North American nationals we lose all rights by deciding to form a family with a person of different nationality?

Why not open the option of a B2 or immediate visa with conditions to show good will and then a migratory visa with periodic presentations to check the status of the relationship? There are not thousands of other options
