The Issue

In the rural northern region of Malaysia, passionate Pokemon fans are being deprived of the full experience of the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) due to the lack of fair product distribution and event organization. Despite the abundant approval of gym stores, these regions often miss out on official pre-release events where fans can gather, play, and celebrate their love for Pokemon. It's disheartening to see trainers in these areas face challenges simply because of their location, when they should have equal opportunities to participate as those in more urban areas.

The Pokemon TCG products and events should be accessible to everyone across Malaysia, ensuring that no fan is left behind. Yet, there have been numerous instances where allocation is heavily skewed towards urban centers. A centralized, transparent distribution system should be implemented to support all regions fairly, emphasizing the presence in rural areas like the northern and southern region (Kedah/ Perlis/ Johor).

It's a known fact that events and community gatherings significantly boost local economies, foster stronger community bonds, and nurture a generation inspired by strategy, creativity, and friendly competition. Thus, it's not just about the game itself; it's about the community impact that these events bring.

One actionable way to address this is by limiting the number of gym store approvals solely in concentrated urban areas and ensuring a fairer spread throughout Malaysia, especially for organizing pre-release events. Retailers and distributors in the nation should collaborate, using demand analytics and feedback data to predict more equitable product allocations.

We call upon The Pokemon Company and its partner distributors to take immediate action to remedy this disparity, ensuring that every community, no matter how remote, has a chance to participate fully in the Pokemon TCG experience. Sign this petition to demand transparency and fairness in Pokemon TCG product allocation, so that the joy of this beloved game can be shared by all, regardless of geographic location.
