Saturday, Oct. 17, 11 am - 8th & Penn. Ave SE

Congratulations and thank you for helping us exceed our 2,500 milestone. Tomorrow, we rally at the site of a fatal crash of two e-scooters, 8th & Penn. Ave SE.

DC Safe Streets Coalition joins Mayoral candidate Rhonda Hamilton, Attorney General candidate Manuel Rivera, DC Council Chair candidate Abi-Ananiah Prudent, DC GOP Executive Director Carolina Celnik and others in a rally remembering Talib Shakir who served as Director of the Mayor’s Office of Returning Citizens and died needlessly in an e-scooter crash last weekend.

The rally will call attention to the hazards on DC streets caused by e-vehicles and demand regulations to curb speeds, register and tag vehicles, certify riders for street traffic, ban e-vehicles from sidewalks and much more, so others do not suffer the same fate with e-vehicles which present a growing hazard to riders, drivers and pedestrians alike.

Please join us at the rally and share our petition to regulate e-bikes  https://c.org/GVFzcRN8kP

Time & Date: Saturday, Oct. 17, 11 am

Where: 8th & Penn. Ave SE
