As direct result of PETA becoming a Facebook  shareholder, animal groups that have been up and running for years are being shut down and removed - one right after another. PETA is claiming "animals are being sold for profit" and without warning, removing all active pages immediately.

Many of the pages affected where NOT in violation and hadn't been selling animals for profit. The groups had been established for informative purposes and to help animals that were in need. Group admins weren't even given a chance to work with PETA or Facebook to resolve any issues that were of concern. 

Due to immediate cessation of these groups, members that have relied on them have been left in the dark. Numerous groups goal was aimed to find individuals willing and able to provide immediate vetrinary care for animals that were in crisis, had serious injury, or had a high risk or even fatal condition (symptomatic as well as non symptomatic) going on. Without the group up and running, those animals now are at a very high risk irreversible damage or death.

Signing this petition will give these animals a fair chance at having the services they so desperately need reactivated. We are coming together to ask that the pages shut down get a chance to be reviewed. If the group is within violation to the rules and guidelines, we ask that the groups administers get reasonable time to fix the problems that are found. If violations aren't corrected, at that time immediate termination of the group would be found appropriate. 

It's time we link arms and stand up for what we believe in! We deserve a chance for a fair review and ample time to make things right!
