The Issue

A lot of the time I will come across a horrific, disturbing video of someone or a group of people harming an animal or torturing an animal and thinking it's funny. The other day I saw a video of a man picking up a live goldfish and throwing it in a hot frying pan to die a painful death. I've also seen kittens kicked, dogs beaten, horses punched etc etc.... These videos are the opposite of other graphic videos that highlight upon the cruelty of this world for educational and welfare reasons. Graphic footage of animal abuse should be shown in a way that condemns it and teaches people that it is wrong. The videos 'for a laugh' are teaching our children and society that abuse and violence towards another living being is okay and funny. Putting our pets and our beloved wildlife at more risk of abuse. When reported to Facebook, they reply saying that it does not violate community standards. I'd very much disagree, they need to look into the context of why this is being shown not just what is actually happening in the video. Thank you.
