Facebook is currently disregarding the privacy and data protection of users by publicly displaying the number of friends of each user.

This happens even when users have set their friends lists to private or "only me". If FB gives the opportunity to chose whether a personal information is public / for friends / only me, they cant disrespect the  choice.

This Facebook practice appears to be in conflict with users' General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rights to control their personal data. I find my right violated.

It is time for us all to stand together and call on Facebook to respect our privacy and accept our right to control our personal data. Please support this petition and call on Facebook to keep the friends list privat.
