Reinstate DJ Kenny Ken's Fan Page
The Issue
After trying for over a month now to get Facebook to reinstate control to Kenny Ken of his VERIFIED fan page, we felt this would be the most effective way to get their attention.
On 16th November 2020 Hackers stole Kenny Ken's fan page and removed all admins from the account. This fact was reported to Facebook immediately, and this unfortunately this is where our problems just got worse. There is no way to report a hacked business page! The options available to you are greyed out and therefore not options. After searching how to resolve this situation it soon became clear that many many people have been in the same situation, and so there were links to many potential solutions, including how to get Facebook's attention and not an auto response.
The main way to do this was to report the page for Copyright infringement, which then prompted response from an actual person, or so we thought. Having provided Facebook with proof of identity and several screen shots of what the page looked like, the last few posts, who the admins to the page were before it was stolen, it's URL and everything else they asked for, they closed the file with no resolve. This left us no alternative but to begin the whole process again, and we have still not had any response from Facebook.
Now while our main aim here is to regain control of Kenny's page which had 80k followers, and was verified. Now that may not be many compared to some, but those followers were built up over years or organic growth. We have identified that this happens a lot to personalities and business pages alike, and very few regain control of their pages. Therefore we hope this petition will gain support from not only Kenny's fans, colleagues, and peers from the D&B scene, but anyone who has had their page stolen and very little help from Facebook.
In todays climate social media is the biggest way for DJ's, Celebrities and personalities to connect with their fans and supporters. We feel Facebook has a duty of care to everyone to finally shut the door on the hackers.
They have the power to reconnect rightful owners to their pages, SO WHY DON'T THEY?
