The goal of this petition is to make all social media platforms influenced by Mark Zuckerburg and attached to the Facebook platform such as Instigram acknowledge the continued abuse of the Romani race by allowing people to apply the racial slur gypsy to all manners of things including dressing up as our race in traditional, distinctive and stereotypical fashion. The erasure of Roma culture through the use of bohemian and boho further compounds the racial abuse. Facebook protects other races from such abuse but allows it to be perpetuated against the Roma obscuring real vital information about people who still suffer grave abuses. It is not an outsiders view that defines racism, the halloween costumes might not seem painful to you, but if your family was chimney ash for looking like that.... how wpuld ypu feel? What makes it racism is how it makes US feel. This aims to end the abuse on these platforms so that activists who are trying to advance the Romani people's causes can be heard. The last acceptable racism must end now. Please help us in this fight to end antigypsyism and the erasure of the Romani people in social media, help us end the American unicorn syndrome that has developed as a result of these prolonged abuses so that the future can truly be one of Roma inclusion. We cannot highlight the plight of our people when people playing dress up under the same tags that mean our race get so many hit. Roma were enslaved under these words, suffered ethnic cleansing and the holocaust as gypsies. These words only exist as they do because the Romani race, DNA based verifiable genetically unique people exist. When this is allowed to continue that is open racism and it needs to end, please help us do that. Thank you.
