We demand Facebook fix scammers, hackers, and criminal issues on its platform

The Issue

Dear Facebook,

We demand that your platform does more to protect users from scammers, hackers, and crimes. Your reporting feature doesn't work correctly at all, and most of the time your reporting technology sides with the scammers, hackers, and people commiting literal crimes on your platform.

As a user, I demand that you create a better reporting system by:

1. Fixing your automated technology reporting, it's BS that you'll take down comments WARNING people it's a scam, but not take down the scammers posts/comments. Someone typing "scam" should automatically flag the original post or comment, not the person who is trying to help. Better your technology to be able to find and remove "bots" right away.

Also, fix the reporting technology in general to stop giving users undeserved bans that ARE actually NOT violating community guidelines.

2. Have the whole post that is being reported reviewed by a HUMAN after the technology review. If someone reports Fraud or scam 99% percent of the time it IS a fraud or scam. Yet you guys keep allowing these scams to stay up. (I can point out thousands and thousands of scam posts your platform refuses to remove). Better train the staff that is reviewing.

3. Create an option to report "criminal activity" whether it's a single person or a group, and be able to type the crime thats being committed in, and the option to be able to report multiple and have the person or group thoroughly reviewed and reported to law enforcement or internet crime.

4. Create an OPTIONAL additional "user input box" so they can explain exactly why they are reporting.

5. Bring back an option to be able to report groups that DO NOT have an active admin or any moderators or groups being run by scammers. There is a major issue with scammers overtaking abandoned groups or scammers starting groups. That option may have been there before as I have heard, but it is no longer there.

6. Stop letting people "lock" their profiles or turn off comments when they are posting websites links & only allow moderators to do it. You are just allowing them to get away with even MORE that way.

7. Allow ALL of a profiles Facebook activity to be reviewed (by WORKING technology) when the profile is reported, rather then individual posts. "This user has posted multiple posts and comments across Facebook that I feel are violating community guidelines". Being required to report each individual post done by a scammer profile is wasting time and resources. Since Facebook ONLY looks at the profile when you report a profile and not the profile activity off of their personal page.

8. Simplify the sending a report to the oversight board and make it mobile friendly and fast. The app should automatically fill the report number etc. In for you and the number should be able to be copied easily. Currently I have tried to bring the report to the oversight board and when I go to log in to it, it brings me back to the beginning so it is a nonfunctional option.

9.  Easier hacked account recovery, and some form of customer service/real support.

10. Allow someone whether on or off someone's friends list to be able to report someone whom is being impersonated or hacked.

11. To add one last thing, stop letting users post who have Md BEFORE their first and last name. That should be an automatic flagging of their account.
