Facebook: Delete Nigerian animal sacrifice killer’s account
The Issue
The person on facebook going by the name of “High Chief Eneni nwa ite” is an animal torturer and killer. He also goes by the name of “Dr Eneni nwa ite”, “Ugwu Christian“ or ”Enenie Nwaite“ and may be using a number of other accounts in order to avoid detection. Regardless of the names he uses, he routinely tortures helpless animals in the most brutal and gut wrenching manners and uploads the videos for his Facebook followers. This is all done under the pretense of ritual sacrifice. But there is no question the real reason he does it is because he enjoys it and wants to gain popularity via his Facebook account.
Many people have reported his page but are met with a response that the content does not go against Facebook’s community standards. This is mind boggling as anyone who can stomach watching even a few seconds of the videos can attest it is the most upsetting and disturbing thing they ever saw. What kind of message is Facebook sending by openly condoning such vile behavior? And if it was not so offensive, why would people need hidden red rooms to conduct such brutalities on animals when such content is available in the public domain all open in Facebook?
As one of the pre-eminent social platforms of our time, what Facebook is doing by allowing this individual to continue is disgraceful and unacceptable and we should not sit idly by. Please sign this petition asking Mark Zuckerberg to delete this horrific account and not allow such content. We, the decent members of the Facebook community are outraged and are speaking out in defense of the innocent, helpless animals this individual is harming and killing.
His actions also violate the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The need for children to be protected from exposure to violence against animals was recently adopted into the UNCRC. Nigeria, ratified, the UNCRC in 1991 and so are obligated by international law to enforce this. The public torture of animals, and sharing it online, would be considered a contravention.
The photo I have chosen to use for this petition shows the monster holding up a baby goat that he just pulled out from the mother he just burned to death, while slapping her in the face at the same time. It doesn’t show her, as I cannot bring myself to view these videos long enough to get a clear snap. The acts are so horrific that they are described below , along with links to the videos if one so chooses to view them.
Please note there are a few other petitions on this site attempting to stop this person, in addition to a PETA action, but those petitions are targeting authorities in the area who can help put an end to the atrocities, not Facebook directly. I am including the links to those petitions as well.
