Clementine Ford is an Australian writer, social commentator, and public speaker dealing in feminist issues.

She received vile, obscene, and threatening personal comments from men responding to one of her Facebook posts. She reposted some of these comments on her FB page to illustrate the vulgarity of her detractors.

Facebook has banned Clementine Ford for 30 days from 21/06, as her reposting these comments 'violated their standards' (this demonstrates the content) however, the offenders remain on-line. This is an outrageous act on the part of Facebook. It is not Clementine Fords actions that require addressing, it is the perpetrators that sent such obscene messages to her.

Society needs to stand up for the victims when they are being silenced.
