Face the Nation: Rahul Gandhi vs Gyanesh Kumar (CEC, ECI) — India Deserves the Truth

The Issue

'In the spirit of truth, let both sides speak'

India’s democracy stands on the sacred foundation of free and fair elections. But today, that foundation is being questioned. Serious allegations of vote tampering (“Vote Chori”) have been raised by Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, directed at the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the ruling establishment.

These are not ordinary claims — they strike at the very soul of democracy. And yet, neither the ECI nor the government has offered a transparent, public response.

Why this matters:

When citizens lose faith in the election process, democracy itself is weakened.
A democracy thrives only when institutions respond to legitimate concerns with openness, accountability, and courage.

Silence is not an answer — dialogue is.
This is why we, the citizens of India, demand a face-to-face, on-camera meeting between:

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and Gyanesh Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner of India (CEC)
This should be a transparent, recorded conversation, where the LOP can raise all allegations and the CEC can respond point-by-point, in the interest of truth and public confidence.

Our Demand:

We, the citizens of India, call for:

A formal, publicly acknowledged meeting between the Leader of Opposition and the Chief Election Commissioner.
The meeting to be recorded and made public, or at least conducted in camera before an independent media body or parliamentary committee.
A joint statement after the meeting to clarify facts and restore confidence in the democratic process.

Why this is not political:

This petition is not for or against any political party.
It is for the people — for transparency, accountability, and truth in our electoral process.
Every Indian, regardless of political belief, deserves to know that their vote counts — and that their democracy is safe.

Let’s unite for democracy, not division.
Let’s demand truth, not silence.
Let’s ensure that the Election Commission remains the guardian of our republic — not a subject of suspicion.

Sign this petition to urge the Government of India, Election Commission and the Leader of Opposition to meet, discuss, and restore public faith in Indian democracy.
