Committee Seeks Public Input on Flight Path Issue

The Select Committee on SFO Arrivals is close to a vote on moving the SERFR flight path to a "notional" path, called DAVYJ, which would negatively impact Santa Cruz, the San Lorenzo Valley, Bonny Doon, West Scotts Valley, Summit, Skyline, Saratoga, Los Altos Hills, Palo Alto, and Menlo Park and neighboring communities. This "notional" DAVYJ path was named and designed by laypeople who live under SERFR because they want that path moved away from their neighborhoods to ours. FAA testimony from August, September, and October this year confirm that the DAVYJ path will be lower, louder, and more concentrated. Contact the committee and politely let them know that you oppose DAVYJ. Moving a flight path to serve one group of people at the expense of others is not an acceptable solution. Request that the committee advocate for solutions that solve jet noise on a regional basis, not just for a small, politically connected group under SERFR.
