**Urgent Efforts to Secure Metro Connectivity for North Hyderabad: Minister Sridhar Babu Assures Action**

Representatives of the **Medchal Metro Sadhana Samithi**, along with former MLA **Mynampally Hanmantha Rao**, submitted an urgent petition to Telangana's IT and Industries Minister **Sri Duddilla Sridhar Babu** on Tuesday. They requested **metro rail connectivity** from **Paradise to Kompally-Medchal** and **Jubilee Bus Stand to Shamirpet** under **Metro Phase-2**.

**Traffic congestion** has long plagued residents of Medchal, Kompally, Alwal, and surrounding areas, who have repeatedly called for **metro rail solutions** to ease their daily commute. They emphasized the need to convert the planned **Jubilee Bus Stand to Shamirpet single-deck flyover** into a **double-deck structure** that includes **metro lines**, as well as to extend the **Dairy Farm to Medchal metro line** to accommodate the region's growing population.

For **nine months**, local residents have organized **protests, dharnas, and agitations** in Bowenpally, Kompally, and Medchal to express their frustration over the **exclusion of North Hyderabad** from the city's metro network. The **lack of metro connectivity** in North Hyderabad, while other parts of the city benefit, is viewed as **unfair and unequal treatment**. 

The residents highlighted the struggles of **50,000 software engineers** who commute daily from North Hyderabad to **Hi-Tech City and Gachibowli**, facing severe **traffic delays** and **pollution exposure**. Extending metro services would not only alleviate these issues but also serve as a **gateway** for the entire **North Telangana region**, including districts like **Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Medak**, and **Adilabad**.

**Will take it to CM's notice: Minister's assurance**
**Minister Sridhar Babu** acknowledged the seriousness of the issue and assured the petitioners that he would personally raise the matter with the **Chief Minister**. He further advised **State PAC Chairman, Hon'ble MLA Arikepudi Gandhi**, to include the metro expansion issue in the **upcoming PAC meeting with the CM** on October 27th.
