I have been asked if I think a direct bus link between East Renfrewshire and Glasgow Airport would be profitable. Transport companies have experts who work out how to make profit. I am not one of them. However, I am a local resident and I know that having such a direct link to our international airport will result in profit for the people and many businesses of East Renfrewshire.

We are not a sleepy backwater and we need to improve our transport links. We need to reduce traffic. That is for the good of our environment, the safety of all of us and our mental health. We have a growing population, with more people required to work from home. Ironically, with that, many must travel further afield to attend events. A growing population with more families means more holidays. Money is tight for many. We must work at making all these things affordable. Ask: what is there to lose by supporting this petition? If it does not work, at least we tried. But let’s be ambitious; let’s try and see if we can make things better for all.
