Success - Metro to be extended till Shameerpet via Alwal

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced the expansion of the city's metro rail network to two new corridors, Paradise-Medchal (23 km) and JBS-Shameerpet (22 km), as part of Phase-II ‘B’ of the Hyderabad Metro project.

The corridor from JBS to Shameerpet, will pass through Vikrampuri, Karkhana, Trimulgherry, Lothakunta, Alwal, Bollaram, Hakimpet, Thomukunta, and ORR Exit mostly along the Rajiv Rahdari Road.

This corridor is the same which we have been asking for in our petition. Hence the purpose of the petition is almost fulfilled, although we shall wait till the project gets completed and is up in running.
