Extend Cartoon Network's Broadcast Hours and Revise Show Schedules
The Issue
As concerned viewers, we have witnessed significant changes in the airtime and programming format of both Cartoon Network and Adult Swim that have had a profound impact on us. When Checkered Past launched on August 28, 2023, it marked Adult Swim's expansion into evening hours, running Mon-Fri from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m ET/PT. This move was followed by the transition of ACME Night (which ended on December 29, 2024) but ended on June 27, 2025 (but returned on December 29, 2025), our beloved Sunday night movie block, from Cartoon Network to Adult Swim, starting an hour earlier at 5:00 p.m ET/PT. Meanwhile, from May 31 to December 27, 2024, Checkered Past now only runs Mon-Thu, with the Friday slot replaced by the newly launched Toonami Rewind, but it ended on December 27, 2024.
The schedule changes disrupt us; hence, we demand Warner Bros. Discovery to extend Cartoon Network from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET, and Adult Swim from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. ET. Furthermore, we already requested the shutting down the Checkered Past block on Adult Swim. Programming from Checkered Past can also be seen on Cartoon Network's sister channel, Boomerang. Programming from Toonami Rewind is already airing on the regular Toonami Saturday Night block on Adult Swim. We firmly believe that this would restore the proper balance and uphold the spirit of the two channels.

We must ensure that the programming and scheduling decisions reflect the viewing habits and preferences of dedicated fans, like us.
