We, the undersigned, call for the Brighton Unizone to be extended to include Hassocks, Wivelsfield and Burgess Hill.

Students travelling from these stations to colleges and universities in Brighton and Falmer can face significantly higher rail costs despite travelling only a few stops beyond the current Unizone boundary.

The current arrangement creates an unfair cost difference for students based largely on which station they live closest to.

We ask the relevant rail authorities, universities and local representatives to work together to extend Brighton Unizone to Hassocks, Wivelsfield and Burgess Hill, making affordable rail travel available to more students across Sussex.
