I am a black female physician who had a child out of wedlock with a white man; during our time together I was the primary breadwinner as he chose not to get a job.  When I could no longer take the disrespect and emotional abuse I had to petition the courts to relocate with my biracial son.  I was successful, but Judge Green still awarded my ex-partner $635 per month in child support even though I am the primary custodial parent.  In addition when my co-parent violated the parenting plan by leaving the state and not providing me or the courts with his address, I was the one penalized, for not wanting to send my child to the largest state in the nation as an unaccompanied minor on two planes.  My co-parent continued to fraudulently file motion after motion in Florida even though the only parties that lived in Florida were the attorneys.  My motions to move the case were ignored and Judge Green attempted to put me in my place by not acknowledging my title as Dr. Durrant.

Black household have the highest share of women-headed households (52.5%), even among married two-earner household, it is common to see women as the head. Only in the Florida courts does the custodial parent have to pay the non-custodial parent.  They act with impunity, and their gender neutrality is just racism and sexism.
