As an esthetician in New Hampshire, I am required to complete more educational hours than those in neighboring states. Yet, despite this rigorous training, we are allowed to perform fewer services. This limitation not only hampers our professional growth but also restricts the range of treatments available to our clients.

Currently, procedures such as microneedling, nanoneedling and collagen induction therapy are off-limits for estheticians in our state. These treatments have been proven effective for skin rejuvenation and can be safely administered by trained professionals like us.

In contrast, many of us can drive just an hour away and legally perform these services in other states. This discrepancy is not only unfair but also discourages talented professionals from practicing within New Hampshire.

We believe that with proper education and regulation, estheticians should be allowed to expand their scope of practice. By doing so, we can better serve our clients while contributing positively to the local economy.
