I was actually supposed to buy Discord Nitro, but…after seeing the options, I had to rethink it. Let’s talk about how unfairthe difference is between the $2.99 and the $9.99 plans. The $2.99 Nitro Basic plan is so limited it’s almost pointless. You get a badge, a few small perks, and that’s about it. But the $9.99 plan? That’s where all the good stuff is — better uploads, HD streaming, animated profile pictures, profile color customization, and more. But at that price? Gosh, that’s just way too expensive for a monthly subscription! Why would I spend that much just to get a few extra features?

Honestly, if they added some of those $9.99 perks to the $2.99 plan, it’d be a much better deal and way more people would actually buy it. Like, let us at least change our profile color or use animated emojis and avatars. These are small features that would add so much value to the cheaper plan and make it feel less like an afterthought. Right now, it’s like they’re pushing you to either spend a lot or get almost nothing in return. It doesn’t feel fair at all.

And don’t even get me started on the payment methods! Why do I need a credit card? So many of us don’t have one, especially younger users or people in countries where credit cards aren’t as common. Why can’t they just let us pay with iDeal, PayPal, or other popular payment options? They’re excluding a huge chunk of their community just because of limited payment methods. It’s really frustrating to see how many hoops you have to jump through just to support Discord, especially when you’re willing to pay if it was a bit more reasonable.

It just feels so unfair, honestly. It could be so much better if they listened to the community and made Nitro more accessible and balanced for everyone. Even if it meant a bump in price by 1 euro or 50 cent, i’d buy it. Just add those functions or more to it
