It has already started in Ealing. This is what they have planned for Kingston in 10 to 20 years time. It is not difficult to imagine what it will do to our Borough and the effect it will have on our communities, neighbourhoods, and the historic and natural environment in and around Kingston

I believe that the way in which the Kingston "opportunity" area has been designated in the London Plan and the way in which massive development targets across the Borough for new residential units and jobs has been arrived at could be unlawful. This could be true for "opportunity areas" and areas around them across London, and it has never been legally challenged

We need to get a legal opinion on whether the process for agreeing growth targets and strategies in and around so-called "opportunity" areas can be challenged NOW

I need to ask the QC very soon to review the information I have gathered so far on how the Kingston "opportunity area" has come about and our large sites targets arrived at so they can quickly respond to any changes made when Sadiq Khan publishes the final version of the London Plan. This is expected VERY soon
