A message to the KGLFL committee…….
Why have you only listed the JPL as a senior competition and not the others within Kent - is it because it is the only one with a girls division, as this is what it feels like to so many and why people feel you have been sexist?
Why is it ok for other leagues to dual sign but not the league played in by hundreds of girls, the JPL?
You keep saying that you are only implementing a rule used but lots of other leagues which you are bringing yourself in line with, but you fail to specify that the way you have implemented this rule is not standard and uniform to other leagues because it is much more limiting than those other leagues who allow 3/5/7 dual signed players.
Why bring this rule in after 2 seasons of the Girls being affected by Covid? The timing is crazy.
Why did you not research how many players and clubs this would affect before you proposed the rule?
Why did you make the rule just 1 player and shut down the member clubs who asked you to amend this or to complete more research before making the decision?
Please explain how 45% is a majority vote?
Please release a copy of the recorded AGM for all to see the contents fairly.
Is it also not worth considering that 44% of your members are not happy with the rule as it was proposed, will you not discuss further to find an amicable compromise, some of these suggestions that we have listed here for a start such as defer for a year, or change to 3/5/7 dual signed players allowed.
Will you not consider calling an SGM and let member clubs revote on a public forum now that just some of the impact this is having is clear. This would be in the best interests of the girls involved and their wellbeing should be the mutual aim for everyone, should it not?
I beg you to please consider all these points.
