This petition is to cancel Everett Public Schools schools for as long as we need to until the situation improves. A student today at Jackson High was proved to have a "presumptive positive" of COVID-19, and they acquired it from within our community, as this person has no travel history.

Students are concerned that if this person contracted COVID-19 from within our community, there could be many other people who currently have it now that are not diagnosed. This is why students want to cancel school for a week, to ease tensions, and to try to suppress further infection.
