The exploitation of wild animals in circuses leaves a new fatality. The 61-year-old renowned Italian tamer Ettore Weber, with a long trajectory in the circus world, has died after being mauled by four tigers during a rehearsal for his show.
Circuses with wild animals are an obvious risk to public health and safety.
This makes it even more difficult to understand that the European Commission has not yet taken measures to protect all citizens in the European Union. Circuses, together with their animals, are allowed to transit through all EU-countries, even those which already have banned those performances.
That said, the ‘changing of the guard’ is taking place in Brussels as we write. And we want to face the new European authorities with 1 million signatures. Please, help us reach that goal by sharing this petition.
THANK YOU!
