ESC Council met today - Companion Animals Act

Hi fellow dog lovers Thanks to ALL who emailed the Eurobodalla Shire Mayor and Councillors asking for timeshare restrictions on Eurobodalla beaches to be relaxed. We do have some success to report!! Today, the Eurobodalla Shire Council (ESC) met. Rather than deal with this individual issue of timeshare for dogs, the ESC has agreed to bring forward the review of the entire Companion Animals Act. Previously this Act was not set down for review until 2019 however, due to the number of people who have written to the Mayor and Councillors, they have agreed to bring the review date forward to 2017/18. This means the timeshare restrictions won't change this summer. However, the ESC are now listening to community feedback and that is a win!!! Congratulations. So where to from here? I will let all who sign up to this petition know how and when, to make a submission to Council's review of the Companion Animal Act, so that each and every one of us are heard and responded to. If you would like to see massive support for improved timeshare arrangements for dogs on Eurobodalla beaches when it is reviewed by Council, PLEASE nudge and encourage ALL your dog loving friends, family and colleagues to sign up to this petition.
