From Belinda McKenzie, 28 August 2015: As all may be aware, I am another casualty or perceived casualty of the Hampstead SRA case and earlier this month felt obliged to leave the UK jurisdiction to avoid possible arrest and seizure of my property. While still in process of ascertaining what my position in reality is, I am hoping and intending to continue pursuing the valuable work initiated in 2013 at EU level by my colleague Sabine McNeill in raising the issue of the damage done to children and families in the UK by the current governmental policy of forcing more and more children into adoption and/or long-term state-care. For sure, on the pan-European scene the UK is the worst offender in this regard, especially due to the notorious secrecy of our family courts. PLEASE SHARE THIS PETITION WIDELY, as if enough people sign we have the possibility of getting this issue onto the agenda of the next meeting of the EU Parliament on 7th September in Strasbourg and if so, I hope to attend that meeting in lieu of Sabine who is grounded and gagged in the UK (but not any more tagged!). For more about my own situation see https://belindammckenzie.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=280&action=edit&postpost=v2
