The European Commission is currently conducting a study on 'The functioning of real estate services for consumers in the European Union'. The objective of the study is to assess in detail the functioning of the real estate services market from a consumer perspective in the 28 EU member states plus Norway and Iceland. Submissions can be made to Dr. Carlo Duprel at lurealestatestudy@deloitte.lu As part of its submission to the survey, the CCPC have made reference to the issues experienced by Irish citizens who purchased French leaseback investment properties. We are also contributing to the study, but think it would be useful if all owners who have experienced issues to drop Carlo a mail with a high level overview of the problems experienced. For those who have already submitted to the CCPC or CMA or other national consumer body, you could cut and paste the summary to a mail.
