"The European Commission has stepped up its response to the alleged mis-selling of thousands of French holiday homes to European property owners by asking consumer watchdogs in France and the UK to intervene. Vera Jourová, the European commissioner for consumers, has written to the relevant national authorities asking them to assess complaints received by property owners."
