Carolina Nudist is an up and coming nudist club that was founded in Wilmington, NC. Our mission is to promote body positivity and confidence through true nudist values. So far, Carolina Nudist has grown to have over 350 members and we are hoping to start a petition to establish a nude beach somewhere along Masonboro Island. We believe that the establishment of a public nude beach will bring a new type of tourism to the Wilmington and Wrightsville beach area. Nude recreation and tourism has grown in popularity and saw a significant increase during the Covid-19 pandemic. What Carolina nudist hopes to accomplish with the establishment of a clothing optional beach on Masonboro Island is to create a safe place for nudists to enjoy the island and truely be one woth nature. We choose Masonboro Island because it is isolated and not easily accessible to the general public.  This could bring more tourism and bring in more money to local businesses. Carolina Nudist has grown to have over 350 members from all across the Carolinas and surrounding states. If successful established, Carolina Nudist hopes to use the beach as a means to promote nudism and body positivity while also creat a safe place for nudists all across the country to relax. This would also allow nude events such as fundraisers to be hosted. Potential fundraisers include a nude beach clean up, a topless beach party to raise money for breast cancer, and a nude polar plunge.
